What a year it’s been for our Academy coach, Sensei Joe. After making incredible sacrifices with his food and lifestyle to prepare for the WKO European Championships - It all came down to one final showdown against an exceptionally tough opponent from Poland. The result? He walked away with gold. 🏆

But the real battle wasn’t just inside the ring…

In the weeks leading up to the championships, Joe experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of his closest friends. A blow that shook him deeply.

He trained through the pain, leaned on the incredible support of his family and Academy community, and turned his grief into strength.

And when the moment came, he stepped out there and brought that belt home. For His family. For his team. For his friend. For everyone who’s ever fought through something and kept showing up.

We’re beyond proud of you, Sensei Joe. You lead from the front and help our Bristol Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, Boxing, Kickboxing and Martial Arts classes to change so many lives in our local community! 💛
