Sensei Sean's Final Bow

Sensei Sean's Final Bow

March 08, 20261 min read

After many years of selfless dedication, loyalty, and service to Bristol Martial Arts Academy, Sensei Sean has made the decision to bring forward his retirement to Tuesday 21st April, so that he can devote more time to caring for his wife, Jo, who is very ill at the moment.

There are some people who leave a mark on an Academy that can never truly be measured, only felt.

Sensei Sean is one of those people.

For many, he has been far more than a Sensei.

He has been a mentor.

A role model.

A steady voice.

A trusted friend.

His presence on the mats, his encouragement, and the example he has set will never be forgotten. While the Academy will not feel quite the same without him, the legacy he leaves behind is woven into the very fabric of who we are.

Sensei Sean represents the very best of martial arts and the very best of our Academy.

We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done, everything he has given, and everything he has stood for.

👊 Once a Sensei. Always a Sensei.
