What are the days and times?

Classes run every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 4:45pm – 5:25pm and Friday 5:30pm - 6:10pm. The programme was written and devised by our instruction team together with child psychologists specifically for children 4-6 years old, and is an ideal blend of Martial Arts, Life Skills and Safety Self Defence and Awareness Skills. We have beginners classes starting weekly.

My child has never done Martial Arts before, will they like it?
Our Little Dragons Children’s Bristol Karate Programme has won several national awards and our fully qualified instructors have been specifically trained to ensure that every child has a great time every class. Your child will learn and grow in a positive environment aimed at helping them develop in key areas such as confidence, self esteem, positive attitude, coordination, discipline, fitness, stranger awareness and self defence. The best part is no one sits on the bench. Everyone is included, developing terrific life skills that will make them not only a better person, but a healthier one as well. Every month we work through a specially designed “Safety Theme” with class handouts and mat chats to help reinforce the message to the children, along with regular visits from the police, fire service and child safety professionals.

Most Martial Arts classes are run in school halls and community centres. We have two fully equipped Martial Arts studios. As you would expect our facility is safe, clean, and uses only the most professional equipment, including Olympic quality training mats and industry approved training and teaching aids to ensure that all children learn and grow in a safe and productive environment. We also have a large free secure car park.

Nationally certified instructors
Our instructors are nationally certified and CRB checked. They also participate in numerous continuing education seminars throughout the year in order to bring fresh ideas and cutting edge instruction to our classes. Our energised and patient instructors love interacting with the kids and ensure that our classes are a fun learning experience. Bristol Martial Arts Academy is also Nationally Affiliated Through The World Karate & Kickboxing Council - a respected national governing body of Martial Arts in the UK.
